Giants Injuries

Saquon BarkleyNYG | Scrambled
Plans on maintaining workload
Barkley heads into a Week 11 bye nursing a minor shoulder injury, and he may also be dealing with some impact from the high-ankle sprain he suffered in September. However, he said health hasn't been a factor in his recent struggles on the ground, noting that he's still been able to make defenders miss when he's found some open space. With his shoulder expected to be fine, Barkley likely will handle his usual workload when the Giants return to action Week 12 in Chicago. The idea of scaling back his touches at the very end of the season isn't crazy, but the Giants didn't take that approach when they dropped out of contention last year, with the running back averaging 18 carries and four catches per game in five December appearances, including 83 percent snap share and 142 scrimmage yards Week 17.

Rhett EllisonNYG | Scrambled
Diagnosed with concussion
The head injury didn't result in Ellison's early removal from the contest, but he only played 49 percent of the offensive snaps and caught three balls for 42 yards while stepping in as a replacement for starting tight end Evan Engram (foot). With Ellison entering the concussion protocol and Engram still hurting, the Giants could be down both of their top two tight ends in the Week 11 game against the Bears. Rookie Kaden Smith is the lone healthy tight end on the roster.

Le'Veon BellNYJ | Scrambled
Returns to limited practice
Bell -- who carried 18 times for 34 yards and a TD while catching four passes for another 34 yards in this past Sunday's win over the Giants -- missed Wednesday's session due to an illness, but it as appears as though he's moved past that issue and that his limitations Thursday will be related to managing his other aches and pains. At this stage, we'd expect the running back to suit up for Sunday's game against Washington, but there's a solid chance that he'll approach the contest listed as questionable, just as he was in advance of Week 10 action.

Demaryius ThomasNYJ | Scrambled
Limited to start week
Thomas has followed a clear pattern for weeks now, being limited in practice and then handling full workloads during game action. His knee injury appears to be a new development, though, so Thomas' participation in practice as the week continues will be worth monitoring with a fresh set of eyes. The veteran wideout led New York's receiving corps with six catches for 84 yards Week 10, and he has another favorable matchup on deck Sunday in Washington.

Robby AndersonNYJ | Scrambled
Logs limited practice
We'll revisit Anderson's' status Thursday to see if he's able to graduate to full practice participation. The speedy wideout has been a hit-or-miss fantasy option of late and is coming off a Week 10 dud in which he caught just one of his three targets for 11 yards, while logging 54 of a possible 65 snaps on offense in the Jets' 34-27 win over the Giants.
