Arizona Cardinals vsNew England Patriots Prediction

Expect a close game with the Arizona Cardinals winning 47% of simulations, and the New England Patriots 52% of simulations. In close games, turnover margin is especially important. The Arizona Cardinals commit fewer turnovers in 49% of simulations and they go on to win 68% when they take care of the ball. The New England Patriots wins 73% of the simulations in which they commit fewer turnovers. Kenyan Drake is averaging 57 rushing yards per sim. If he can have a great game with better than average rushing yards and at least a 1 rushing TD (31% chance) then he helps his team win 69%. Sony Michel is averaging 68 rushing yards per sim. If he can have a great game with better than average rushing yards and at least a 1 rushing TD (38% chance) then he helps his team win 72%.

Arizona Cardinals vs New England Patriots Prediction

The Arizona Cardinals were so close to being alone in first place in the NFC West. They fell short in their 28-21 loss to the Seahawks and fell to 6-4. They travel to Gillette Stadium to face the New England Patriots, who are coming off a disappointing loss of their own to fall to 4-6. This game will be played on Sunday, November 29 at 1:00 P.M EST, and the visiting Cardinals are 2.5 point favorites.

New England Patriots Preview

It looked like the New England Patriots had turned it around. Winners of two in a row, including a Sunday Night win over the Baltimore Ravens, the Patriots were on a roll, and started creeping up the AFC playoff standings. With a game against the 2-7 Texans ahead of them, they were one win away from being declared relevant again.

Then, Deshaun Watson happened, and the Patriots defense had little to no answers for the young quarterback. Watson had only nine incompletions en route to passing for 344 yards and two touchdowns against this once vaunted Patriots defense. Offensively, New England did all they could but eventually fell 27-20.

Things started off well too for New England. They got off to a hot start on the back of Damien Harris, who ran for the first touchdown of the game. After their previous two wins, the initial touchdown drive seemed like an omen of things to come. Cam Newton did his best to go throw-for-throw with Watson, but even a Cam Newton in his prime would struggle to do so. Newton finished the game with 365 yards and a touchdown, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough.

Time is running out on the Patriots. At 4-6, they reasonably have to go at least 5-1 to even consider the playoffs in a suddenly stacked AFC conference. Their first test is against Arizona, and if Deshaun Watson gave this defense trouble, expect the same from Kyler Murray.

Arizona Cardinals Preview

At this point, everybody is taking the Arizona Cardinals seriously. They came close to taking down the Seattle Seahawks once again, but missed opportunities combined with an ailing Kyler Murray was too much to overcome in their 28-21 loss. They now sit at 3rd place in the NFC West with a record of 6-4, and are looking to rebound in New England.

Kyler Murray threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns, but was held to only 15 yards on the ground as he was dealing with an ailing shoulder. His injury looked to have an impact on his willingness to run the ball and take chances down the field. In the end though, Russell Wilson was too much, and the Seahawks defense made some key stops to take this game.

The Cardinals are currently the seventh seed in the NFC playoffs, but are only a game behind the Seahawks for the divisional lead. They’re in a good spot going forward, with games against the Eagles and Giants coming up, and two against the Rams. Holding a one game lead over the Chicago Bears at the moment, the Cardinals probably don’t have to worry about falling out of the playoffs thanks to the ineptitude of the Bears offense. If the Cardinals take care of the games they’re supposed to, they’ll be in. That starts with this game against New England.

Full Game Prediction

It’s a little surprising to see the spread of this game be only 2.5 points in favor of the Cardinals, but this may be taking into account how desperate this Patriots team should be playing. With a loss, they’ll essentially be eliminated from the playoffs. For Arizona, they’re in the playoffs at the moment, but need to continue stacking together wins. The last thing they need is to go into the home stretch of the season on a losing streak. Expect both teams to come out ready to play, and for a close game that goes down to the final quarter. In the end, the Cardinals should be able to come away with the road victory.
