Joe Burrow (QB)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 9:03 PM
Burrow was having a relatively normal performance in a tight contest before absolutely going off on Baltimore's secondary in the second half. The 24-year-old connected on huge touchdown strikes to Ja'Marr Chase (82 yards) and C.J. Uzomah (55 yards) to put the game out of reach and seal the Bengals' first win against the Lamar Jackson era Ravens (1-5). Burrow's 17th touchdown already smashed his rookie total of 13, and he accomplished the feat in three less games. He will look to continue his rapid progression as a star quarterback against the Jets next Sunday.

Joe Mixon (RB)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 8:43 PM
The Bengals struggled to get much going against the Ravens' defensive front, but late scores from Mixon and Samaje Perine (both from 20-plus yards out) helped mask what was a rough day on the ground. Mixon has been a solid fantasy contributor so far through seven games, but his continued decline in the passing game does hurt his stock a bit. The 25-year-old had zero receptions (or targets) Sunday, and has now recorded five games with one or fewer receptions. Mixon is still the lead dog in Cincinnati -- the even split in carries with Perine was a result of the blowout -- so he remains a solid option heading into a favorable matchup against the Jets next Sunday.

Latest News
Updated Yesterday at 7:07 PM
Though Evans didn't take an injury designation into the Bengals' win over the Ravens this past weekend, Taylor said the rookie running back was limited to a special-teams role since the hamstring issue was still bothering him. Fortunately for Cincinnati, Samaje Perine was back form a one-game absence due to a positive COVID-19 test, and he was able to reclaim duties as the top backup to Joe Mixon. Evans probably amounts to an upgrade over Perine on passing downs, so the former could recapture a small role on offense once the injury is fully behind him.

Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 8:34 PM
Chase was already on the way to a big receiving day before Joe Burrow dialed up his favorite receiver for an 82-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. The budding star wideout continues to dazzle in his rookie campaign, bringing his season totals up to 35 receptions, 754 yards and six scores through seven contests. If that wasn't impressive enough, Chase's mark of 21.5 yards per catch ranks second in the league, trailing only the Raiders' Henry Ruggs. Fantasy managers should continue riding the gravy train into MetLife Stadium when Chase and the Bengals take on the Jets next Sunday.

C.J. Uzomah (TE)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 8:52 PM
Uzomah celebrated the NFL's National Tight End Day in spectacular fashion, erupting for two scores, highlighted by a 44-yard catch and run. This was the veteran tight end's second game with 90-plus yards and two scores, but he had done little else in the remaining five contests (70 yards and one score over that span). The inconsistency makes Uzomah hard to trust on a weekly basis. That being said, he does receive a decent chunk of playing time, logging at least 71 percent of offensive snaps in all games leading up to Sunday's blowout. If you're hurting at the tight end position, Uzomah could be worth a look with five scores over the last four weeks.

Jared Goff (QB)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 11:53 PM
Goff was slightly more productive than either of his two prior games, which combined for 405 yards and two interceptions, but even this box score is largely owed to the after-the-catch work of running back D'Andre Swift, who propelled most of Goff's box score with a 63-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. The Lions aren't in a position to fix the problems that plague their passing game in 2021, so riding out this sort of production from Goff might be the way it goes the rest of the year. The Lions face the Eagles in Week 8 before a Week 9 bye.

Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 11:27 PM
The Lions made the game closer than expected in the 28-19 loss, and largely because of Swift's excellent output as a receiver. Swift's workload as a runner might always be limited and perhaps durability isn't his strong suit, but he's shown multiple times this year that he can provide standout fantasy production even while sharing the rushing workload with fellow running back Jamaal Williams, who ran for 57 yards on 12 carries against the Rams. It would be nice if Jared Goff could play better, but in the meantime Swift has shown the ability to produce even if Detroit is subjected to poor quarterback play. The formula should stay mostly the same for Detroit as they take on Philadelphia in Week 8.

Latest News
Updated Yesterday at 12:45 AM
Williams saw zero targets in the receiving game, which is a concerning sign on a day that D'Andre Swift drew 10 targets. The Lions have shown a more specific intention to feed targets to Swift after Williams drew nine targets in Week 1. Williams has seen eight targets in the six games since. Double-digit carries are on the table for Williams every week, but it's increasingly appearing as if he needs to make his carries count -- probably with a touchdown or two -- to provide much fantasy value in a given game.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR)
Latest News
Updated Yesterday at 2:29 PM
After seeing at least seven targets in three straight games, St. Brown again logged over sixty percent of the offensive snaps but this time no passes were sent his way. Instead, Kalif Raymond, T.J. Hockenson and D'Andre Swift combined for nearly 85 percent of the targets while cornerback Bobby Price even caught a pass. While it's unfortunate to learn that this is the floor for a promising up-and-comer like St. Brown as long as Jared Goff is under center -- and the competition for targets could increase depending on the availability of Tyrell Williams (concussion) -- St. Brown is still seeing enough playing time to think a bound-back performance in Week 8 against the Eagles is possible, particularly in PPR settings.

Kalif Raymond (WR)
Latest News
Updated Yesterday at 12:19 AM
Raymond has made some impressive plays over the past few years, but Sunday's game might be the best of his career to this point. Quarterback Jared Goff rarely makes it easy and struggled like usual Sunday, completing just 22 of 36 passes for 268 yards (61.1 percent completed, 7.4 yards per attempt), which makes Raymond's box score (75 percent caught, 14.4 yards per target) that much more impressive. He's somewhat overmatched in his current lead wideout role, but his usage seems locked into place as long as Quintez Cephus (collarbone) and Tyrell Williams (concussion) are out. Raymond has a home game against the Eagles in Week 8.

Hodge and Geronimo Allison clearly ran behind Kalif Raymond and Amon-Ra St. Brown, but Raymond was the only one to see more than two targets. Even with Quintez Cephus (collarbone) and Tyrell Williams (concussion) on IR, Hodge remains a long shot to become a consistent fantasy contributor in practically any format.

Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 11:58 PM
The Rams were well aware that the Lions would try to feed Hockenson in this one and prepared accordingly, including setting elite corner against Hockenson at times. Although Hockenson's efficiency was lacking Sunday and the struggles of quarterback Jared Goff might make that an ongoing risk, the nine-target usage for Hockenson is rather encouraging. It wasn't an easy matchup for Hockenson, yet the ball headed his way often. He'll face the Eagles in Week 8.
