2022 College Football Regular Season Win Total Values

Kansas Over 2.5 Wins (+120): Second-year head coach Lance Leipold was a six-time national champion and five-time conference coach of the year and was the fastest coach to reach 100 career wins in NCAA history (106 games), when he won the Division III championship with Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. After a successful six-year tenure leading the Division-I Buffalo program, he led Kansas to a 2-10 record last year, but there are reasons to believe that this program will improve this year. Nine offensive starters are expected back, including dynamic quarterback Jalon Daniels, who showed some glimpses of stardom at times last year. Four offensive line starters should return and running backs Ky Thomas from Minnesota and Sevion Morrison from Nebraska transferred in. Seven defensive starters are expected to return and the team added a few difference-makers in the transfer portal as well. With home matchups against Tennessee Tech and Duke as likely victories, the Jayhawks would have to win just one of their other 10 games to get over this number and I think they’ll get there, perhaps against Iowa State at home in their fifth game or in their season finale against Kansas State.

Vanderbilt Over 2.5 Wins (+110): Vanderbilt also went 2-10 in Clark Lea’s debut coaching season last year, but the team returns a number of impact players on both ends of the ball and gets matchups against Hawaii, Elon, and Northern Illinois in their first four games of the year. Those are three winnable games for an SEC school that reportedly has a strong recruiting class coming in (by their standards). I don’t like this one quite as much as Kansas’, but it’s worth a shot.
