Ohio State vs. Notre Dame College Football Championship Player Prop Picks

Top player prop picks for the Ohio State vs. Notre Dame National Championship, featuring touchdowns and standout performances.

The College Football Playoff Championship between Ohio State and Notre Dame is set to be an epic clash between two powerhouse programs. Both teams bring elite defenses and explosive offensive playmakers to the table, setting the stage for a hard-fought battle with national title implications. For bettors, this matchup offers plenty of intriguing player prop opportunities, from touchdowns to standout performances. Below, we break down our favorite prop picks for the game, including why Riley Leonard may struggle against Ohio State’s defense and why both TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins are poised to find the end zone.

Notre Dame QB Riley Leonard Under 0.5 Passing Touchdowns (+130, BetMGM)

Leonard is one of the most dynamic runners of the football from the quarterback position, but his ability to effectively pass has been a source of concern for the Fighting Irish at times this season. So far in the College Football Playoff, he’s accounted for three touchdown passes compared to three interceptions and has thrown just one in each game (against Indiana, Georgia and Penn State). This Ohio State defense is the best one he’ll see all year long and Leonard will be the worst QB that the Buckeyes have faced this postseason. OSU held Tennessee’s Nico Iamaleava to no touchdown passes and then allowed two to both Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel and Texas’ Quinn Ewers. The Buckeyes should be able to make life difficult on Leonard, who will be playing without their starting left tackle and potentially without their starting right guard. Ohio State has held every opponent except Oregon under 20 points and I think they’re going to dominate the trenches on that side of the football en route to a decisive victory.

Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson Anytime Touchdown (+100, FanDuel)

Henderson has simply been incredible in this CFP run. Against Tennessee, he took 10 carries for 80 yards and two touchdowns and caught four passes for an additional 54 yards. Against Oregon, he took eight carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns along with three receptions for 20 yards. Then against Texas, he carried the ball six times for 42 yards and caught a pass for 75 yards and a touchdown. That’s five touchdowns in the last three games, and all when it’s mattered most. With 11 scores on the season, Henderson has certainly taken a step forward in these playoffs and even though he won’t see as many touches as backfield mate Quinshon Judkins, his explosiveness and the presumed run-heavy game script as an 8.5-point favorite makes him a fantastic ATTD option.

Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins Anytime Touchdown (-105, FanDuel)

Like Henderson, Judkins has been a force in the CFP. He took 10 carries for 34 yards and two touchdowns with two catches for nine yards against Tennessee, 17 carries for 85 yards against Oregon and nine carries for 36 yards and two touchdowns with three catches for 22 yards last time out against Texas. He will get the carries around the goal line based on his bruising running style and while I normally wouldn’t be interested in backing two running backs on the same roster, this is an exception. Both guys will get plenty of touches, have the big-play ability I like to see and will be playing behind an elite offensive line.
