Heisman Trophy Value Bets

When looking to place a future bet on any sport, the very first thing you have to be looking for is value at the current number that is listed. Is a player more or less likely to win this bet than the current number says? The same is true when you are looking into placing a bet on the Heisman Trophy.

College Football is one of the most wagered-on sports in America, and as such, the lines for this sport are going to be super sharp, and it will be very difficult for the average bettor to find value in the listed lines at most sportsbooks. The good news is that you have a team of experts here at BetQL that are combing through these odds every day, looking for the best value possible in every market.

Lines are moving and changing all the time with the money that is coming into sportsbooks, and when that happens, new opportunities open up and close down. Getting the best of the number is imperative when looking to make a long-term profit in sports betting, as well as factoring into any money management system. In this article, our experts will give you their latest best bets throughout the season at the best number available, so you will always have some value waiting at your fingertips for the Heisman Trophy.

Picks to Win 2024 Heisman Trophy

Matt Horner: Grayson McCall +10000

This is a huge longshot because North Carolina State doesn't have the pedigree that comes with an Alabama or Clemson, but they still play in the ACC and will have plenty of opportunities to make a statement. McCall transfers in from Coastal Carolina, a team that I have been paying attention to for a while because of the numbers he has been putting up. Now, Heisman voters ignored him because no one who plays for the Chanticleers has a chance to win the award, but that all changes now that he is playing in a power-five conference.

We'll see if he can maintain that same high level of play against some tough competition in the ACC, but he has proven that he has an extremely talented arm. Other than last year, when he only played in five games due to injury, he lit up the competition in his first three years as a starter. From 2020 to 2022, he threw for 8,061 yards and 77 touchdowns to just eight total interceptions. He was fantastic and now will have more eyes on him as he starts for the Wolfpack.

Heisman Trophy History

Some of the best players in college football history won the Heisman Trophy award, which is essentially the MVP award for college football. If you go back a decade, we have seen all kinds of serious talent win this award. In 2013, Florida State QB Jameis Winston won the award and was selected No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft a few years later.

In 2014, Oregon QB Marcus Mariota took home the award and went No. 2 overall behind Winston in that same draft. 2015 saw the rise of Alabama RB Derrick Henry in his rush to the Heisman Trophy, and becoming a superstar in the NFL. In 2016, future NFL MVP QB Lamar Jackson won the Heisman after a ridiculous statistical season with Louisville. 2017 was QB Baker Mayfield's year, as the Heisman winner worked his way there from walk-on at Oklahoma.

His teammate QB Kyler Murray would take over his job in 2018, and go on to win the award back to back for Oklahoma. In 2019, perhaps the greatest college football team of all-time would emerge behind QB Joe Burrow, who won the Heisman that season. For the first time ever, 2020 saw a WR win the Heisman Trophy when Alabama star DeVonta Smith took it home. In 2021, Alabama star QB Bryce Young would win it, who is projected to be a top-2 pick in draft. Last season, USC QB Caleb Williams became the latest Heisman winner.

About BetQL's College Football Picks

BetQL is the place you go to for CFP Championship bets, but we also have plenty of other services besides value bets on futures. We have the most advanced CFB model with a proven track record of winners to get you swimming in the green by the time the season comes to a finish. The BetQL CFB model will have you covered every day of the season, and every game of the season, with the best bets available on the market right now. It shows you the price of each bet and where to place it at the best price, so you always will get the most value out of every wager you place.

The BetQL CFB model ranks bets based on a "star-scale" platform, which rates each bet 1-5 stars based on how valuable the wager is. A 1-star bet tells you to stay away, and that there is no value there at the current number, while the higher you go on the scale means more value is to be had. A 5-star bet is the most valuable wager we have, and we would recommend putting a unit on that particular wager. BetQL encourages a wager on 3-star and higher bets, with 3-star being a smaller bet and 5-star being a larger one. We have bets on the spread, total, moneyline and 1st-half of every CFB game, so make sure to check it out as the lines change!
