Kings +100 (FanDuel) vs. Grizzlies

We'll start things off in the NBA today as per usual, where we have the Memphis Grizzlies heading out west to California to take on the Sacramento Kings. These two teams are pretty familiar with each other, as they have played three times already this season. Memphis has the advantage 2-1 in the season series, so the Kings have the chance to tie things up tonight at home. The Grizzlies have lost two straight games, while the Kings just lost their last one to the 76ers.

The key to this pick is where the line has been moving despite where all the money appears to be. Memphis opened as a -3.5 favorite but has since been bet down to just -1. You would think that would mean all the bets and money was coming in on the Kings, but that is not the case. The Grizzlies are getting 78% of the handle and 69% of the bets, yet the line has moved in favor of Sacramento here. That reverse line movement is a great way to tell where the respected money is going. Despite all this cash and all the bet slips liking the Grizzlies, all it takes is a respected and sharp betting syndicate to hammer the Kings, and this is what we get.

Kansas +118 (Caesars) at Baylor

Let's move to the college ranks, where the Kansas Jayhawks will be traveling to take on the Baylor Bears. A Big-12 clash like this is sure to garner huge amounts of money on the game, and we can already see where that money is starting to go. I managed to grab Kansas at +3 last night, but only 2.5 is available right now at most sportsbooks. Baylor has won four straight games and is red-hot right now, while the Jayhawks have lost back-to-back games, including a terrible, 23-point loss at home to TCU. People are down on Kansas right now and high on the Bears, but this could be a great spot to play the Jayhawks in a bounce-back spot.

Bill Self historically has been nails as an underdog but struggles as a big favorite. That's always been the knock on him as the head coach of Kansas, but here we find him getting points. This is exactly the type of game his teams show up for, and I wouldn't be shocked at all to see the Jayhawks win this game outright.

Panthers +118 (FanDuel) at Rangers

For our last underdog pick of the day, we'll head to the ice, where the Florida Panthers will be visiting the New York Rangers. I've been terribly disappointed with the Panthers this season. A team with as much talent as it has should be far better than 23-20-5. However, the turnaround looks like it is coming, as the Panthers have won four of their last five games, and things are starting to get back on track. Florida is a really good team, getting 35.3 shots on goal per game and scoring 3.38 goals per game. It allows the same amount of goals per game, but just 31.9 shots per contest.

New York is also a really good team as well, especially the goaltending, which allows just 2.63 goals per game. The offense has been pretty good, scoring 3.11 goals per game and getting 32.9 shots per game. The Rangers have won three of their last five games, and will be a playoff team yet again.

Really, this pick is all about value. I think both teams are good, but I'm getting plus-money here with the Panthers.
