NBA: Hawks +105 (DraftKings) at Kings

We'll start things off today with an NBA underdog to consider for tonight. We have a ton of games to choose from, but I'll go with the Hawks against the Kings. Sacramento is coming off of a huge comeback win against the Utah Jazz, and I'll be looking to fade them on a back-to-back after that. If this were any other team outside of the Hawks, I would probably be more confident in this. I just think they aren't a very good team. Still, there is value here against the Kings after the game last night.

According to BetQL, 46% of the money is on the Hawks but they're getting just 41% of the tickets, showing a bit of a sharp edge towards Atlanta's side. We saw the Kings take money early on, but recently, the Hawks have taken a good amount.

Keep an eye on this one as we get closer to tip-off to see who's active and where the line moves. If it keeps getting better for the Hawks, fire away.

NCAAB: No. 25 Iowa State +140 (FanDuel) vs. Oklahoma

We'll shift things now over to the college ranks, where the Iowa State Cyclones will be facing the Oklahoma Sooners. The Cyclones are higher ranked and the underdog here, and usually that is a bet that I want to stay away from. However, we have seen this line move further toward Iowa State, which makes me believe that some money is coming in on the Cyclones. It was +3.5 and now has moved to +3, and 69% of the handle is on Iowa State as well.

That means there is significant money coming in on the Cyclones, and I don't think we are done seeing this line move quite yet. Oklahoma is getting a lot of credit here, and I think that stems from the close game they played against No. 6 Texas. Perhaps they are getting a little too much credit now, and I'm willing to play against that.

NHL: Lightning -105 (DraftKings) at Wild

There are just three hockey games today because it's a rivalry Wednesday. That means that we have only three underdogs to choose from, and I won't be taking the Red Wings because I really like the Devils tonight. That leaves the Anaheim Ducks and Tampa Bay Lightning. Simply put, I trust the Lightning far more than I trust the Ducks to win a hockey game. Tampa is on a back-to-back, and they played a surprisingly close game against the terrible Blackhawks until they pulled away in the third period. Minnesota is a far better team and will push them harder, but they have a good chance to win this game.

I'll take the value here at -105 with the Lightning, as I think they are pretty much even. If Andrei Vasilevskiyis in the net for Tampa Bay, they have an even bigger advantage. He's been fantastic, allowing just 2.4 goals per game, and the Minnesota offense hasn't been the greatest thing on ice this season.
