This total has come down slightly from where it opened at 155. The No. 2 seed in the Big East tournament is on the line tonight, so I could see the books anticipating a little bit more defense in this game. That said, these are two top-20 offenses. Xavier is the best 3-point shooting team in the conference and Providence is the second best. The Musketeers are also terrible at defending the 3, ranking 290th in 3-point percentage allowed. That should allow the Friars to get whatever they want from deep tonight, especially on their home floor.
Also, the way the Big East is set up, every team plays one another twice. And with the exception of its matchup with St. John’s, every second meeting for Providence has been higher-scoring than the first. The first meeting between Xavier and Providence went into overtime and finished with a total of 168. I don’t think we’re going to get higher than that this game, but regulation ended at 152 and I would expect tonight’s game to finish around 158, so grab the over at FanDuel (-104), along with a great welcome offer below!
Providence has covered the spread in their last six meetings with Xavier, two of those as the favorite, and they won four of those games outright. Providence is 18-11 ATS this season, including 10-5 at home and 11-6 ATS as the favorite. The Friars are also coming off a win and they just happen to be 11-6 ATS after a win. I like Providence to cover at home, and you can get this at -110 at Bet365 along with a great welcome bonus below!
Vanderbilt has gone 8-3 ATS on the road this season, while Kentucky is just 9-12 ATS at home. Under coach Jerry Stackhouse, Vandy has gone 21-8 ATS after a combined score of 155 or more in the previous game (it was 160) and 34-16 ATS when the total is in the 140s, as it is tonight. The Commodores have won their last three games as an underdog outright and boast the nation’s 27th-most efficient offense, per KenPom’s rankings. Since Kentucky comes in at 13th on the offensive end, there’s not much of a gap between these two squads on that end of the floor. I expect UK to win at home, but I’ll gladly take Vandy +10.5 (-110) at DraftKings, and you should also take advantage of their awesome welcome offer below!
The Buckeyes are having one of their worst seasons in recent memory, sitting at 12-17, so my question is: Why are they just a small, two-point underdog to 20-9 Maryland? So far, 58% of bets are on the Terrapins, yet this line is moving closer and closer to a pick ‘em. Sharps are eating turtle soup tonight, and I’ll join them. Ohio State -2 is still available at -110 on PointsBet, but hurry; and grab that welcome offer below while you're at it!
Happy March Madness, y'all! My mind is already on the NCAA tournament, so I'll be searching for a few valuable futures picks here with the occasional boost and promo mixed in so we can hit some huge paydays in March (or April).
First up, UCLA to make the Final Four is +330 at DraftKings, which is crazy value to me. I think UCLA will ultimately be one of the No. 1 seeds (outta the way, Purdue) and they have the experience to get (back) to the Final Four regardless of seeding. The next-longest price on the Bruins is +270 and they are as short as +230, so this +330 price at DraftKings is already great value even before you consider UCLA's potential.
I'd grab it at DK now (this would be a perfect use of "bonus bets" from the welcome offer below) or you can get a little greedy and wait to see if DK offers another set of 25% college hoops boosts that you can also use on futures.
