DePaul at Georgetown Prediction

I realize I'm going out on a massive limb here, but tonight is going to be Georgetown’s best shot at tallying its first conference win in nearly two seasons. DePaul is the third-worst team in the Big East and has yet to win a conference game on the road. In fact, they've only won two road games all season.

When comparing these two teams statistically, they're fairly evenly matched. Georgetown does, however, have the advantage in defensive rebounding, blocks and free throw attempts. I get that betting on Georgetown to win or cover is scary, but this is by no means a gimmie for the Blue Demons.

My Picks: Georgetown +2 or ML

Notre Dame at NC State Prediction

These are two teams going in opposite directions. Notre Dame just hit a new low with back-to-back double-digit home losses to Florida State and Boston College. Before the B.C. game, Mike Brey announced that this will be his last season coaching, but that still didn’t motivate his players to play a little harder. The Irish look like they’ve completely given up on the season.

Meanwhile, N.C. State has a few really good wins in ACC play, beating Duke and Miami. The Wolfpack’s star player, Terquavion Smith, is going to be a game-time decision after taking a hard hit against UNC and having to be stretchered off the floor. Even if he’s unable to go, I like N.C. State to cover this number. The 'Pack are great at defending the 3-point line, which is where Notre Dame does most of its scoring, and will be the more dominant team on the glass.

My Pick: NC State -7.5

Miami at Florida State Prediction

Miami is coming off a disappointing loss to Duke over the weekend and will now look to bounce back in a rivalry game against Florida State. The Hurricanes' offense stalled a bit in the second half against the Blue Devils, thanks to Duke playing really well on the defensive end. I don't think Miami will have that same problem tonight against a Seminoles team that's going to struggle to slow down the Canes' high-powered offense.

Miami ranks 36th in points per game and likes to get out in transition, which is going to force Florida State to play at a significantly faster pace than it likes to. The Seminoles are also a pretty solid outside shooting team, but Miami has shown that it's able to guard the perimeter well and limit teams from deep. Lay the points with the road team!

My Pick: Miami -3
