Top NBA Player Props For Wednesday, Oct. 19

RJ Barrett Under 21.5 Points (-115)

Last season, RJ Barrett averaged 20 points per game in his third season for the Knicks. At this point, it’s difficult to expect much more from him on a consistent basis.

And this contest won’t be easy. The Grizzlies were sixth in defensive rating last season.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 22.5 Points (-120)

Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns averaged 24.6 points per game. And I’m predicting he’ll start the season on a high note.

Also, this is a favorable matchup for Towns. The Thunder were 17th in defensive rating last year, and they probably won’t be much better in that area in 2022-23.

Scottie Barnes Under 11.5 Assists+Rebounds (-125)

Raptors forward Scottie Barnes showed great promise on his way to winning Rookie of the Year last year. But his assists and rebound numbers weren’t exactly astounding.

Barnes averaged 3.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds last year. And to start this season, he’s facing a Cavaliers team which was 10th with a plus-1.3 rebounding margin and was fifth in defensive rating in 2021-22.

Barnes may be in for a great season, but I don’t think he’ll go over this total in this game.
