The Bucks are on a back-to-back, but they played the Lakers last night in L.A., so they didn’t have to travel. Giannis also doesn’t seem like the kind of person to partake in the L.A. nightlife too much, which is typically a concern for teams spending the night there. The Bucks have been on a tear lately, winning nine straight and covering in five of their last seven games. The Clippers are in a little bit of a transition after trading Reggie Jackson and Luke Kennard yesterday. While those players don’t exactly move the needle a ton for me, the Clippers are still going through an adjustment with new faces on the roster. The Lakers and Suns were both heavily involved in trades and both lost yesterday; I think we’ll see a similar story for the Clippers.
The Jazz will be my play for DraftKings' "Up 10 Early Win" promo tonight, so that they will only need a 10-point lead to cash, but their price is slightly better at FanDuel (+240) at the time of this writing. Though Utah is on a three-game losing streak, don't forget that the Jazz beat the Raptors in Utah last Friday before this skid, so they'll be looking to stop the recent slide. Also, note that new DraftKings customers get a ton of bonus bets with the offer below!
I’m on IPFW (15-10) as a home underdog against Youngstown State (19-6) tonight. Under coach Jon Coffman, IPFW has gone 16-9 SU after scoring 60 points or fewer, and since the Mastodons just scored 52 in a loss at Detroit, the trend is active. They’ve also gone 24-17 SU after a double-digit loss under Coffman, so that’s another trend in their favor. IPFW has gone 8-3 SU at home this year and has won four games outright as an underdog this year, so I’m going to roll with the Mastodons, especially since they won the first matchup against Youngstown State, 76-71, on the road.
Taking Fresno State even at +9.5 in this game may seem insane, as the Bulldogs have been pretty woeful all season and now they are on the road against a much tougher Nevada team. However, I like what I have seen in terms of where the early money and tickets are going on this game, which leads me to believe that the Bulldogs could have value here. I really like Fresno State +9.5, but it’s also worth a sprinkle on the ML at this massive number.
Ohio has won four of its last six games and six of the last seven at home, while Akron is coming off of a loss and has dropped four of the last eight on the road. So I like Ohio to pull off the slight upset at home.
