NBA Sharp Bet: Jazz -8 vs. Hornets

The sharps are riding with the Utah Jazz in tonight's NBA action against the lowly Charlotte Hornets. A whopping 94% of the total money wagered on the game is on the Jazz, but just 32% of tickets are on that side. In contrast, just 6% of the money is on the Hornets, but a large 68% of tickets are backing that side. That means we have a large 62% "Pro-Money Advantage" on the Jazz, by taking the percentage of money wagered and subtracting the bet percentage.

Tickets on Utah are worth more money overall than those on the Hornets, so we know where the big money is going. We have already seen this line move in favor of the Jazz, showing that the respected money is on their side rather than the public in this matchup.

This game opened at -7.5 in favor of the Jazz, but has since moved to -8. It's not really shocking considering how bad the Hornets have been this season, but this is a lot of points. That doesn't seem to matter for the sharp bettors, though, as they are fading the Hornets hard here and expect a blowout in this game. This will be the first time these two teams meet this season, and while the Hornets have won two straight coming into this one, this is the time to fade them.

College Basketball Sharp Bet: Northwestern -2.5 vs. Wisconsin

Let's head over to the ice for the final sharp play of the night. The sharps are going with Columbus Blue Jackets vs. the Calgary Flames tonight. It's clear that the professional bettors are liking the Blue Jackets here to come away with a huge win against the Flames.

In comparison, 3% of the money is liking the Flames to cover as a huge favorite, but a massive 86% of tickets are riding with that side here. That means that the tickets that are worth a substantially higher amount of money are siding with the Blue Jackets in the game, as 97% of the money wagered is on just 14% of the tickets placed. I say, good luck to them. I'm on the Flames -1.5 in this one, but you never know, I guess. Perhaps the sharps are on to something here that I don't know about.
