The NBA just released its full 2023-2024 schedule, which means it's time to take a look at each team's regular season win total. There's a lot to take into account when betting these totals. What does the team's schedule look like? How has the roster changed? What are the obstacles they might face this season? And what's the market's perception of that team? After taking a number of those aspects into account, I've found a play on the Nets win total that I absolutely love. Scroll down to check it out!

The Brooklyn Nets are a tough team to forecast. They went 45-37 last season and their total for 2023-2024 is set quite a bit lower at 37.5. That's because they had James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on their roster for much of last year, yet they were traded away before the deadline, bringing the talent level of the team down a few notches. Are you going to win more games with three of the league's best players on your team? Of course! But I still think 37.5 wins is a bit too low based on the talent Brooklyn still possesses.
For starters, Harden, KD and Kyrie brought all sorts of drama to the team. Kyrie was always in and out of the lineup and all three players demanded trades, bringing even more turmoil to the locker room. Not to mention, the Nets fired head coach Steve Nash very early into the year. It's going to take a lot this season to match that type of adversity. Despite the talent on the roster not being quite as high this year, I'd argue that the chemistry on the team will be significantly higher this season. Chemistry alone might not win you a championship, but it should help you win more than 38 games.
And let's not act like there isn't any talent on this team. Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson both came over from the Suns in the trade for KD and both players made an immediate impact. Bridges exploded to average significantly more points than he ever did in Phoenix and stepped into Brooklyn's main scoring role seamlessly. Nic Claxton took another step forward last year and I would be shocked if that doesn't happen again. Add in Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Royce O'Neale, and all of a sudden this team doesn't look so bad. I also wouldn't hold your breath on this, but Ben Simmons is still on the roster, and if he somehow finds a way to revert back to his early playing days, the Nets will blow past this total.
