Friday’s NBA action offers a great opportunity to dive into player prop bets with strong matchups across the board. From Jonathan Kuminga’s rising usage on the Warriors to Tyrese Haliburton’s assist potential against a fast-paced Bulls team, and Deandre Ayton’s favorable matchup versus the Jazz, these three props stand out. Let’s break down why each bet has value heading into tonight’s games.

Warriors PF Jonathan Kuminga Over 14.5 Points vs. Timberwolves (-128, FanDuel)

I was on Kuminga to go over 18.5 points against the Rockets yesterday with teammates Steph Curry, Draymond Green and DeAnthony Melton out and he ended up going 13-for-22 shooting for 33 points in a 99-93 win over the Rockets. In 196 minutes with those three guys off the floor this season, he’s had a gigantic 34.52% usage rate, which is notable also because Buddy Hield’s 22.9% mark is the next highest mark on the team. The Rockets own the 2nd-best Defensive Rating in the entire NBA while the Timberwolves rank 6th in that regard, so he’s getting a slightly easier matchup tonight and his point total is down four points from yesterday. In five games with Curry out this season Kuminga has gone over 14.5 points all five times with 17, 16, 23, 19 and 33 points. I’m all in on this clear misprice and expect it to close at least a couple points higher.

Pacers PG Tyrese Haliburton Over 9.5 Assists vs. Bulls (-122, BetRivers)

Haliburton has not only gone over this mark in four of his last five meetings against Chicago, but he’s cleared 13 dimes in three of those starts, including a high of 20 last season. I’ve been targeting point guards against the Bulls all season long since Chicago not only has allowed 11.32 assists per game to opposing point guards, most in the NBA, but also plays at the fastest pace in the league. If you recall, Haliburton and the Pacers played at the fastest pace last season and they’ve been dialing up their pace over the last 10 games, ranking 4th in the NBA in that span and 8th overall this season. Although Haliburton has had a disappointing year based on his standards, I expect him to get into double-digit assists for the 10th time this season. So far, he’s averaging 8.4 assists (7th in NBA) on 15.3 potential assists per game (5th in NBA).

Trail Blazers C Deandre Ayton 15+ Points & Over 0.5 Blocks vs. Jazz (+155, BetMGM)

With both Robert Williams III and Donovan Clingan out, Deandre Ayton should be in store for another big workload in a great matchup against Utah, who has allowed opposing centers to rack up 26.77 points (2nd-most in NBA) and 3.09 blocks (most in NBA) per game. Ayton has gone over 15 points in four straight games and in nine of his last 10 games when playing 30-plus minutes. He’s also swatted at least one shot in three of his last four games. At +155, I think there’s a ton of value here.
