It’s a very quiet night in the NBA tonight with only one game on the schedule. However, there are two plays that I like in that game. Scroll down to see what they are as well as our model's best bets, sharp picks, top trends and so much more.
One trend to note is that the BetQL NBA model has been on fire recently, going 48-20 (70.6%)on all picks rated ⭐⭐⭐ and higher in the past 3 days for a total return of$1,161on $100 bets! The Detroit Pistons (5-18 SU, 11-9-3 ATS, 13-9-1 O/U) welcome the Dallas Mavericks (10-10 SU, 5-14-1 ATS, 12-8 O/U) to town in what is the only game on tonight’s NBA slate.
This line doesn’t quite feel high enough. The Pistons are one of the worst teams in the league and are without their best player in Cade Cunningham. They could also be without Jaden Ivey who has been out the last few games as well.
The Mavs have been terrible on the road this season, having only won one game, so that’s likely why this line isn’t higher. I think this is a great spot for the Mavs to turn that around against a bad Pistons team. Plus, Dallas needs to start stacking wins and climbing up the Western Conference ranks after their poor play as of late has them sitting at 11th in the conference. The Mavs are also coming off one of their best defensive performances of the season, holding a very good Warriors offense to an offensive rating of just 111.5.
The only thing that makes me a little nervous about the Mavs covering this number is the fact that they’re 0-9 ATS after a win this season and 1-4 ATS as a road favorite. But hey, that trend has to turn around at some point, so why not tonight?!
My lean: Mavs -8
Things can’t get much better for Luka Doncic after he posted a 41-point, 12 assists, 12 rebound triple-double on Tuesday against the Warriors. I don’t expect his numbers to be quite that high again tonight, but I like Luka to go over his points prop of 30.5. In each of the Mavs 10 wins this season, Luka has surpassed this number, so there seems to be a correlation between Dallas winning and Luka scoring. And if you read my pick above, you’d know that I think this is going to be a relatively easy win tonight for the Mavs. Luka also thrives in primetime games and this is the only NBA game on the schedule tonight, meaning all eyes will be on him. Expect big numbers from Luka tonight in Detroit.
My lean: Luka Doncic Over 30.5 points
