Domantas Sabonis Over 35.5 PRA -106 at FanDuel
With De’Aaron Fox (personal) out tonight, Domantas Sabonis will likely take on the role of go-to scorer and top facilitator in the high-octane Sacramento offense. Per RotoGrinders’ Court IQ tool, the All-Star center has averaged 0.56 points, 0.36 rebounds and 0.21 assists per minute in 591 minutes with Fox off the court. If he plays 36 minutes, that translates roughly to 20 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists (41 PRA). When you also factor in the fact that this game will take place back in Indiana where he began his career, that might create a chip on his shoulder since he was traded away. This is my favorite player prop target of the day and I will put multiple units on it.
Anthony Edwards Over 27.5 Points -110 at BetRivers
Despite putting up stellar numbers (24.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists in 36.6 minutes) without missing a single game this season, Anthony Edwards was snubbed from the All-Star Game in favor of Paul George, who has put up similar stats while playing 17 fewer games. That has to hurt. Heading into this matchup against the Magic, Edwards has averaged 33.0 points per game over his last seven contests and has gone over 27.5 points five times in that span. The Magic own the 5th-worst Defensive Rating on their home floor this year, so Edwards and the T-Wolves should have no issue having success on the offensive end.
Pascal Siakam Over 32.5 PR -110 at PointsBet
Speaking of All-Star snubs, Pascal Siakam didn’t end up on a team despite putting up 24.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game so far. As you can see, he’s averaging 32.9 points + rebounds, so all he needs to do in this plus-matchup against the Rockets is essentially give us his usual amount of production. Houston owns the 3rd-worst Defensive Rating in the NBA and has been a turnstile to opposing offenses all year long. With the added disrespect of being snubbed from the All-Star Game, I love the idea of targeting Siakam to perform up to and beyond his usual expectations tonight.
Trae Young Over 2.5 Made Threes +130 at DraftKings
Despite averaging 27.0 points and 9.9 assists per game, Trae Young was another All-Star snub. Over his last 20 games, he has a 60.7% True Shooting Percentage and has shot an impressive 38.1% from three-point range on 5.9 attempts from deep. Coming off a performance in which he made three three-pointers, I expect him to be very active as a scorer in an attempt to prove his naysayers wrong tonight. The Jazz have allowed the opponents to make 42.9% of their three-point shots over their last three games (3rd-highest rate in the NBA over that span), including 15 made threes on average (4th-highest), so attacking the perimeter of Utah’s defense makes a lot of sense.
James Harden Triple-Double +550 at FanDuel
On his Instagram Story, Harden posted a blank screen with the words “The disrespect” after the All-Star rosters were announced. Not only that, but Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Georges Niang and more Sixers players and fans were very outspoken about their displeasure. With that being said, the Sixers are a massive road favorite tonight against the Spurs and I expect them to give Harden every opportunity to make a statement. Averaging 21.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 11.0 assists per game, Harden went for 12 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists against the Spurs earlier this season and at +550, I love these odds for him to get the job done and pick up his fifth triple-double of the year.
