Suns Injuries

Kelly Oubre Jr.PHX | SF
Mostly rehabbing in bubble
Coach Monty Williams described Oubre as "looking great" but it remains unclear if he'll participate in the Suns' upcoming games -- the first of which is July 31 against the Wizards. If Oubre is unable to play, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson and Dario Saric could see expanded roles.

Devin BookerPHX | SG
Could see more work at point guard
Ricky Rubio's arrival in Phoenix this season has limited Booker to almost exclusively to an off-ball role, with the 23-year-old having logged just one percent of his minutes at point guard in 2019-20 compared to 15 percent in 2018-19 and five percent in 2017-18. In order to open up more time for Booker to initiate the offense, Williams may have to get creative in staggering minutes between Rubio and Booker. Any minor uptick in minutes on the ball could translate into an uptick in usage for Booker, whose 29.1 percent rate for the season is his lowest since 2017-18.

out again Tuesday
Ayton made it through shootaround and indicated he hoped to play Tuesday, but that ultimately will not be the case. The Suns do not play again until Saturday, so he will have another three days off to recover. As a result, Aron Baynes and Dario Saric figure to again see increased workloads.

Markelle FultzORL | PG
Delays entering bubble
President of basketball operations Jeff Weltman noted that he expects a "seamless transition" for Fultz into the bubble, but it remains unclear when the guard will join the team. If Fultz doesn't make it to the bubble for the Magic's first game, D.J. Augustin and Michael Carter-Williams would be in line for extra minutes.

Jonathan IsaacORL | SF
Status won't be known until August
Though Isaac joined the Magic at the Walt Disney World complex as the team prepares to return from a four-month layoff, he still has yet to go through contact drills since sustaining a significant left knee sprain Jan. 1. While Clifford is satisfied with Isaac's progress in his rehab thus far, a timeline for the forward's return won't be established until he's able to go through 5-on-5 drills. Isaac can probably be ruled out for the remainder of the Magic's regular-season slate, and he likely won't be an option in the playoffs either unless Orlando makes a surprising deep run.

Al-Farouq AminuORL | PF
Unlikely to return to play
There was some optimism in March that Aminu could return if the season resumed. However, that appears not to be the case anymore. "There's a difference of being healthy and then being safely healthy," said Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman.
