The MLB season is winding down and the race to the World Series is heating up as teams start to clinch playoff spots.
And Nick Kostos and Femi Abebefe looked at their picks to win the World Series on You Better You Bet.
Their picks include some of the top contenders in the Phillies at +450 and the Astros at +900 at BetMGM.
“I identified the Phillies and the Padres in the National League,” Kostos said. “And the Royals and the Astros in the American League. Which honestly makes me want to walk into traffic if the Astros win the World Series. I despise them.
The Phillies are at +240 to win the NL, while the Padres are at +550. While the Royals are +1000 to win the AL and the Astros are at +375.
“The Royals not winning the Central actually bodes well for them in that five spot there,” Abebefe said. “Because I’m not scared of the Batimore Orioles … And then they’re going to be able to face the Yankees … They can go to the Bronx and shut down that Yankee lineup …The Royals … give off Diamondbacks vibes of last season. Young lineup, superstar Bobby Witt Jr., really good pitching. I think they can make the Cinderella run and win the American League pennant … And then in the NL it’s hard to go against the Phillies … Philadelphia should win the World Series. If they don’t win it, it’s a catastrophic failure for the Philadelphia Phillies organization.”
