The Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays will meet up today, with the Red Sox sending Chris Sale to the mound. Sale is 3-0 this season with a 2.53 ERA and I’m taking him to go Over 7.5 strikeouts at -105 against the Rays today (odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook). 

Sale has a total of 24 strikeouts this season in his four starts. He’s hit this Over in two of those starts with eight strikeouts in each of those starts.

The Rays have the second-highest number of strikeouts in the league this season with 1,321. They also have the highest number of strikeouts in the league against left-handed pitchers with 476. Tampa is averaging 9.6 strikeouts per game, which, again, is the second-highest in the league.

While Sale only had three strikeouts against the Rays in his last start, he’s due for a big strikeout day and I expect that to be today.
