The First Mets Bet You Should Place This Season At BetMGM

MLB Opening Day is finally just one sleep away, which makes this Opening Day Eve, which makes this a very exciting day. 

Baseball is BACK baby and one way to celebrate the return of the greatest game in the world is to place MLB bets because we CAN. And I was just going through which bets I’m placing on the very first games, saw this tweet from BetMGM, and knew exactly how I’m going to bet on Mets-Marlins on Thursday. 

The New York Mets, ladies and gentlemen, are historically the best Opening Day team. They have a 40-21 record and a winning percentage of 65.6 percent on Opening Day. AND they are -120 on the moneyline for Thursday against the Marlins. So there is a bit of value there, maybe parlay it for some extra oomph, but I know exactly what the first bet I'm placing on the Mets will be for this season and that is on their moneyline at -120. 

And the next bets I will be placing on what is my National League team will be futures on a couple of exciting additions to this roster. 

I like Kodai Senga to win the NL ROY this season at +800 at BetMGM. I see a lot of promise in Senga and his ghost forkball taking the world by storm. I also loved the video the Mets tweeted out in which players were asked which teammate they could stand to be stuck in an elevator with and Senga said Daniel Vogelbach, not because he could spend time with him but because Vogelbach is strong enough to pry the elevator doors open and save them. This guy is awesome.

And I am in on Justin Verlander to win the NL Cy Young this season at +600 at BetMGM. Verlander won the award last year for the third time in his career and I see him making it four this season. He went 18-4 last season in Houston with a 1.75 ERA and I think he's going he have another monster season this year in the Mets Era of his career.

I'm looking forward to the Mets having a lot of success this season with no more bad luck falling upon them and it all starts with this first March 30 moneyline bet.
