One of the hottest topics regarding Serie A over the last few weeks has a direct relation with Juventus, but it is not involved with what has been a disappointing first year for the Andrea Pirlo tenure. The hottest topic regarding the Old Lady is about the speculation surrounding the future of Paulo Dybala, arguably one of the team’s best players but someone who seems all but certain to leave the club in search of greener pastures next summer.

The Argentinian international has had lots of problems this season, as he hasn’t looked like himself, but he has also been forced to deal with several injury woes that have limited him to just 13 Serie A appearances during the current term. Dybala only has three goals and two assists in league play, and he was far from being a difference-maker in the UEFA Champions League. All these factors are forcing Juventus to contemplate the possibility of parting ways with him, especially since Dybala’s deal runs out in the summer of 2022.

With that in mind, where could Dybala land next summer if Juventus decide to part ways with him?

The most logical option would be a move to the Premier League. Manchester United has been interested in the attacking midfielder, who can play as a #10 or as a right winger, for quite a while now. However, it remains to be seen whether The Red Devils will chase him this time around. Juventus are expected to command a hefty fee for his services, and it wouldn’t be odd if Dybala ends up as Manchester United’s backup plan with Jadon Sancho potentially being available as well. In that scenario, The Red Devils can’t be included in the conversation right now.

Everton emerged as a possibility as well, but that idea didn’t last long when it was revealed that the Argentina playmaker would reject any potential approach from the Goodison Park outfit. Plus, Dybala wants to play in the Champions League next season, so teams such as Liverpool and Manchester City would be logical destinations. It would be particularly interesting to see him playing alongside the likes of Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Ferran Torres under the management of Pep Guardiola.

Right now, Dybala’s future is under a dark cloud and the end of the season will be critical to determine what’s going to happen with him, especially since he’ll only 12 months left in his current deal. But there’s a strong chance he might be playing his final matches for Juventus.
