Updated Odds to Win the 2021 NHL Stanley Cup

The NHL trade deadline has come and gone, and the odds to win it all have finally settled. Currently, the Colorado Avalanche are the odds on favorites to win the Stanley cup. At DraftKings Sportsbook, the Avalanche have the shortest odds to win it all at +350. Understandably so, as Colorado is tied for the most wins (28), and lead the NHL in points (60). Colorado also acquired veteran goaltender Devan Dubnyk and bolstered their attack by trading for forward Carl Soderberg today. The Avalanche have not won since 2001, but they look locked and loaded for a title run.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are next on the list of title favorites, at +600. Tampa Bay's 28 wins matches Colorado's and they have 58 points. Last year's champs are starting to hit their stride again, so repeating is definitely a possibility.

The Toronto Maple Leafs (+800) added forward Nick Foligno from the Blue Jackets before the deadline, improving their chances. Las Vegas Golden Knights (+800), and Carolina Hurricanes (+1100), round out the top-five.

Other notable trades include the Islanders acquiring Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac, and the Bruins obtaining former Hart Trophy (MVP) winner Taylor Hall. Both teams made the biggest jump in odds, per Christian Cipollini, Sports Trader at BetMGM.

Boston moved from +2000 to +1400 after acquiring Taylor Hall and the Islanders odds shortened from +1600 to +1400 with the addition of Kyle Palmieri. The Bruins are one of BetMGM’s biggest liabilities to win the Stanley Cup.”

The postseason starts on May 11th with several teams that are contenders, so the home stretch should be fun to watch.

West Division
Colorado is a huge favorite to win the West at -335.

Central Division
Carolina is the favorite to win the Central Division, at -143.

East Division
The East is the biggest toss-up, as the New York Islanders have the shortest odds at +160.
