Ravens vs. Jets: NFL Week 1 First Look & Lean

Baltimore looks to rebound from last year's injury-plagued season

Ravens vs. Jets Week 1 Odds

The Baltimore Ravens, after being decimated by injuries in 2021, take their renewed expectations into the 2022 season, while the Jets have their own set of higher expectations. Take a look at the live odds above for the September 11th season opener.

Ravens vs. Jets Week 1 Lean: Baltimore ATS

This is the start of a last-place schedule for the Ravens that includes the NFC South and AFC East, and along with the Jets, they'll see the Giants, Jags, Panthers, and Falcons, which should help pad them towards 10 wins when it's all said and done.

As for Week 1, the Ravens see a Jets team that went 6-11 ATS last year, but has made some strides this offseason, drafting receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall, not to mention signing guard Laken Tomlinson and tight end C.J. Uzomah, which will certainly help improve their lack of talent issues at least on paper. Zach Wilson is the key though, with just 9 touchdown passes and 11 picks in his rookie year, he'll go up against a Ravens defense that was just 25th in passing yards allowed in 2021.

The Ravens were 8-9 ATS last year, and in a surprise move traded No. 1 wide receiver Marquise Brown to the Cardinals in the offseason, with another sign they're clearly leaning heavily on the run, something the Jets were 29th against when it comes to yards allowed the last time they were on the field. Baltimore's 2,479 rushing yards was third in the NFL, and you can expect a heavy emphasis against the Jets with just that, while going hard at Wilson, forcing him into mistakes as much as they can.
