The New England Patriots opened as 18.5-point road favorites against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. The reason: Miami just lost 59-10 at home to the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens put up a ridiculous 42-first half points (an NFL record) in Week 1 against the Dolphins and Lamar Jackson threw four first-half touchdown passes while completing 90 percent of his passes.

In other words, the Dolphins defense was essentially a dumpster fire.

After dismantling the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-3 in Week 1, the Patriots will now stroll into Miami with ridiculous scoring potential after adding Antonio Brown to an already-dominant roster.
Next week, this offense, plus Antonio Brown, gets to play a Dolphins defense that allowed 59 points today.

However, it’s worth noting that the high spread and the fact that this has been a trap game for the Patriots in recent years creates room for consideration of a contrarian Miami bet. Last season, Kenyan Drake's heroics took the Pats down and the Dolphins also beat New England in Miami the year before that, too.
