5-Star Review: Colts vs. 49ers Total

Colts Were An Easy Bet

I said it earlier in the week that the Colts were my best bet this past weekend, and I am always happy to be right. Carson Wentz has been good for the Colts, despite what people will tell you, and the defense is starting to get healthier. This is a team that is made to make a push this season after a very poor start due to injuries. Jonathan Taylor has become one of the better backs in the NFL, and as he gets his legs going, the whole offense will benefit.

The 49ers are starting to tread water at this point, and one of the biggest reasons is the fact that they have no true starting QB. Jimmy G is not the answer, and has not been good at all in his starts for the 49ers since the Super Bowl season that is way in the rear-view mirror at this point. Rookie QB Trey Lance has struggled in his starts with San Francisco, but again, he is young and inexperienced. The defense has also been much worse than anyone thought, giving up almost 25 points per game and getting gashed.

One team is coming up, one team is sinking. That made the Colts an easy bet for me, and the BetQL model.
