Since Drew Brees went down with his finger injury, the New Orleans Saints are surprisingly 2-0. While Teddy Bridgewater has performed well enough for his team to win, running back Alvin Kamara has done all that he can do make the chains move.
In a 33-27 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, Kamara rushed 16 times for 69 yards and a touchdown and added nine catches for 92 more yards and another score. Then, in a gritty 12-10 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, he rushed 17 times for 69 yards while hauling in three catches for 20 more.
What isn’t seen in the box score is that with Brees out, opposing defenses have stacked the box against him and have devoted defenders to essentially spy on him in the backfield. But, Kamara’s ability to make defenders miss has been incredible:
Per @PFF, Alvin Kamara forced 9 missed tackles on 17 rushes on #SundayNightFootball.@A_kamara6 has now forced 23 missed tackles on rushing attempts this season (0.39 per attempt), which is 5 more than any other player.#DALvsNO | @Saints

The Saints are three-point favorites over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. Look for Kamara to be a major part of the game plan once again, although he will have a very tough matchup.
Over the last 3 weeks, the Bucs have faced Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley & Todd Gurley.
