The NFL season is drawing closer and closer, and more props are beginning to appear on sportsbooks.

One of the interesting props available at DraftKings Sportsbook is who will lead the league in tackles.

There isn’t an art to this prop, since 2010 there has been a different player to have the most tackles. Here are the current odds at DK, and some names that jump off the board:

The Favorites: No Player Under +650

This market is going to have fairly long odds no matter what, but we start with Colts linebacker Darius Leonard and Giants linebacker Blake Martinez at +650.

Leonard only played in 14 games last season, but still finished eighth in tackles, while Martinez was third in the league for one of the most improved defenses last season with the Giants.

Last year’s tackles leader Zach Cunningham and Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner are each at +700.

Roquan Smith of the Bears is the only other player in single digits at +800. With a stout pass rush, Smith is incredibly versatile and able to make plays all over the field.

Double Digit Dark Horses

49ers linebacker Fred Warner is next on the list at +1400. He was 10th in the league last season but doesn’t rush the passer as much and does a ton of work in coverage, leaving him able to track the ball.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl standout Devin White is +1600 as he looks to follow up a strong 2020 season.

Jaguars linebacker Joe Schobert was fourth in tackles last season, and is listed at +1800 to have the most in 2021. His teammate Myles Jack is +2500.

An interesting line is Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith, who was the No. 2 tackler last season, and is listed at 20-1.

Secondary Long Shots?

Cardinals safety Buddha Baker led the NFL in tackles in 2019, and is listed at +5000 to lead the league in 2021.

Jeremy Chinn had 117 tackles in his rookie season as a safety that plays more like a linebacker, sitting with odds of +4000. He is joined by Baker’s teammate in the secondary that also doubles as a linebacker, Isaiah Simmons.
