The Los Angeles Chargers (6-5) can’t stop the run. They entered Week 12 averaging an NFL-worst 145.1 rushing yards per game and were gashed yet again, this time giving up 147 in a 28-13 loss to the Denver Broncos. That’s great news for the Cincinnati Bengals (7-4), who decided to pound the football with running back Joe Mixon in recent weeks. He has eight rushing touchdowns over his last five starts and carried the ball 28 times for 165 yards and two touchdowns en route to a 41-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12. The week before, he took 30 carries for 123 yards and two scores at the Las Vegas Raiders, so the blueprint is there for Cincinnati to pick up another win by exploiting Los Angeles’ biggest weakness. Expect Cincinnati to become bigger favorites as the week rolls on. CLICK HERE to see the current line and BetQL’s best bet!
It wasn’t pretty, but the New York Jets (3-8) picked up their third win of the season with a 21-14 outcome against the Houston Texans on the road. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles (5-7) laid an absolute dud against the New York Giants on the road, losing by a 13-7 score. Heading into that game, Jalen Hurts seemingly had turned the corner as a passer, but he went 14-31 for 129 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in an abysmal performance. While Hurts amassed 77 rushing yards on just eight carries, Philadelphia’s coaching staff has an unwillingness to give Miles Sanders (nine carries for 64 yards, 7.1 yards per rush) a starter’s workload, which is still puzzling. Regardless, it’s safe to say that this Philadelphia team probably shouldn’t be a 7-point road favorite against any team right now. CLICK HERE to see the current line and BetQL’s best bet!
