Jets Will Beat Vikings If They Do This

The Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets meet in Minneapolis in Week 13 with both teams coming off of impressive wins. The Vikings enter off of a mini bye, having beat the New England Patriots 33-26 on Thanksgiving day. The Jets are fresh off a controversial week in which head coach Robert Saleh benched the team’s starting QB and 2nd overall pick Zach Wilson. Mike White replaced Wilson under center and led the Jets to a 31-10 win over the Bears on Sunday. White threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns in an impressive showing. Limit Minnesota's Pass Rush

The Vikings defense as a whole hasn’t been all that impressive this season. Their passing defense ranks dead last in the NFL in yards per attempt at 7.8. That being said, the Jets will likely have Mike White under center for the second-straight week. While he threw all over the Bears defense in Week 12, Minnesota's pass rush is much better at getting to the quarterback than Chicago's is. If Minnesota’s edge rush can pressure White, he’ll be forced to make quick decisions that the Vikings can take advantage of. 

In the four games White played last season, he threw eight interceptions. That’s a drastically different storyline than what we saw from him against the Bears but is likely to be one we see more of going forward. The key to Minnesota winning this game is making White uncomfortable and they have the personnel up front to do it.
