Jalen Hurts has put up some solid numbers so far this season.
In a 32-6 Week 1 victory at the Atlanta Falcons, he went 27-35 for 264 yards and three touchdowns through the air and added seven carries for 62 yards on the ground.
In Week 2, he went 12-23 for 190 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions and added 10 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Despite the fact that he went over 54.5 rushing yards in both games, BetQL is projecting him to stay well under that number in this contest, finishing with just 25.
Keep in mind that dozens of data points go into each projection. The Cowboys will utilize versatile linebacker/defensive end Micah Parsons in various ways to make Hurts’ life tough. Under new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, there will be a lot of stunting, spies and mixed coverages for the young signal-caller to handle.
Since Dallas’ main defensive issue lies in the secondary, Hurts is projected to have a big game through the air with 270 passing yards and two touchdowns, but the model is high on Dallas’ ability to contain him on the ground.
