The Chargers running back held out to start the season, but is returning to the team
Sources: The holdout is ending. #Chargers RB Melvin Gordon is, in fact, reporting to the team tomorrow. He won’t play this week, but he is planning to be back in the fold with his teammates.

He’s back!
After holding out for a contract extension (and failing to get one), Melvin Gordon decided to return to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Perhaps due to the team’s 1-2 start or due to the emergence of Austin Ekeler, Gordon decided to come back. He will sit out in Week 4 before presumably making his season debut in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos.

He returns without a new deal in hand.
The Chargers are massive favorites over the Dolphins this week and they’ll look to get going in the right direction before the return of their star running back.
