Yesterday, Eric Edholm and Preston Johnson joined Ken Barkley and Nick Kostos on You Better You Bet to discuss the upcoming NFL Draft and NBA Playoffs.

Here are some of the most notable comments from last night’s show:

Edholm on if a 6th QB can slide into the 1st round of the NFL Draft

If there is, I think it would be Davis Mills. I suspect he's probably more likely to be a 2nd rounder, but you can understand the thought process of wanting to get the 5th year option all first round picks get that. Especially for a QB who is not going to play right away. 11 college starts, he's been a little injured, he's got some makeup work to do I think, but the talent is there.

Let's say a team like New Orleans is at 28. They've bypassed QB after QB time and time again trying to win a Super Bowl with Drew Brees. But now that Drew is retired, they have a provisional QB with Winston, they have kind of a Plan B with Tayson Hill. I wouldn't say their long-term plans are solved. This might be the year where if you are New Orleans, you say 'ok we like the kid'.

I know they've done work on him, but I don't know if they love him 28th pick love him. There are a couple of spots where I can see a team wanting to trade out to the end of the 1st round, so I wouldn't rule it out.

I think Davis Mills will be the 6th QB off the board either way. He goes anywhere from the last few picks in the 1st round to the first few picks in the 2nd round.

Johnson on why the Bucks are larger favorites to win the Eastern Conference ahead of the Sixers

It's just going into the priors that we have on them and what they've done in the regular season the last two seasons. There's a bigger sample size of it.

Even two years ago, they were up 2-0 against Kawhi Leonard in the Eastern Conference Finals and potentially going to win the NBA Championship. Then Kawhi Leonard went bezerk and so did Fred Van Vleet and it's a different story.

And, then last year Giannis gets hurt again against the Heat. Weird things happen. It is kind of like the variance game, and understanding what really applies and what doesn't. Personally I do have the Bucks slightly ahead of Philadelphia. Now if you were going to just look at the data from this season, then it's a different story.

What I think helps Milwaukee and in the playoffs that we didn't see the last two years was trading their depth away to get Jrue Holiday as well as some future picks.

Theoretically I think the starting five for Milwaukee is better than it has been the last two years ... I think that is part of the reason Milwaukee is going to get some love from bettors and ultimately people that are kind of breaking it down, looking forward to a playoff setup rather than this regular season.
