Quick-Hitters

  • Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is playing at an MVP level. It may be wise to avoid betting against him until a team proves otherwise.

  • Although the Dallas Cowboys have plenty of offensive firepower, they struggled against a less talented Los Angeles Rams defense. Seattle will cut them no breaks. Consider betting under the combined point total.

  • As a prop bet, either running back Ezekiel Elliott or wide receiver D.K. Metcalf could score the game’s first touchdown. Elliott can score from anywhere on the field and Wilson has shown he’s not afraid to air it out to Metcalf despite the coverage.

  • Seattle (-225) is favored over Dallas (+185) with the over/under set at 57 total points. The Seahawks are 5-point favorites. CLICK HERE FOR LIVE GAME ODDS!

Two Teams At A Glance

The Dallas Cowboys, a team that never stays out the limelight for too long, is in year-one with coach Mike McCarthy and believes they have the right players to go the distance. The Cowboys are currently (1-1) on the young season, coming back against the Atlanta Falcons last week by recovering an onside kick in the game’s final minutes.

Seattle looks primed for a potential Super Bowl run as well. Through two games this season, Russell Wilson looks like the way-too-early frontrunner for the MVP Award, having thrown four or more touchdowns in each game en route to a 2-0 record. The Seahawks are coming off an impressive cross-country win against the New England Patriots wherein Wilson masterfully outlasted an impressive Cam Newton.

Cowboys Predicament

It's terribly difficult to rule Dallas out of any game, no matter the opponent or location. True, Seattle’s raucous “12th Man” won't be in attendance at CenturyLink Field this Sunday, but Dallas will have an arduous task at hand, regardless.

The Cowboys are strongest on the offensive side of the ball. With a solid quarterback in Dak Prescott, a dominant offensive-line, a very hungry Ezekiel Elliott, and a dynamic receiving corps lead by Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, the Cowboys can run the scoreboard up in a hurry (as showcased against the Atlanta Falcons last week). With that said, Dallas isn't weak on defense. The Cowboys employ a hyper-athletic linebacking corps, implementing a “bend, don’t break” defensive mentality. However, in the first two weeks, it has seemed that the Dallas secondary is vulnerable to premiere quarterback play (surrendering 275 yards to Jared Goff, including 237 yards and four touchdowns from Matt Ryan). Unfortunately for Dallas, no one is hotter than Russell Wilson right now.

Seattle's Overall Prowess

Two weeks in and not many teams have looked better than the Seattle Seahawks. With comfortable victories against the Falcons and Patriots, Wilson and D.K. Metcalf look dangerously in-sync (as I’m sure reigning DPOY Stephon Gilmore can now attest to). Additionally, wide out Tyler Lockett and running back Chris Carson are having solid seasons and forcing opposing defenses to stay honest, leaving Wilson with a variety of threatening options.

With a that said, Seattle is a team that gets down on the defensive side of the ball, too. All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner is still patrolling the middle of the gridiron with his good friends Bruce Irvin and K.J. Wright, making them the most solidified linebacker unit in the league. In the secondary, Seattle is anchored by Pro-Bowl cornerback Shaquill Griffin and newly acquired All-Pro safety Jamal Adams, essentially rendering opposing air attacks useless. Obviously, the 2020-21 NFL season is still in its infancy, but Seattle looks poised to make a legit run.
