Bucs And Chiefs Both Look To Get Their Offenses Back On Track In Week 4

Sunday Night Football could bring the needed juice for both

The Chiefs and Buccaneers both have offenses that could use a little jumpstart, and they see each other Sunday night. Kansas City is coming off of a 20-17 loss to the Colts, and the Bucs were held to just 12 points in a loss to Green Bay.

Clearly, both need some juice, especially Brady and his group, which hasn't been able to get anything going all season long yet.

Seeing a Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs offense look as sloppy as they did in Indy is a rare sight. Not only were they inconsistent, but replacement kicker Matt Ammendola missed a field goal, and Mahomes threw a late interception that ruined any hopes of a comeback.

The BetQL model has Mahomes throwing for 300 yards though, going well over his 266.5 passing yards prop on DraftKings, with Brady coming in at 310, another over.

This is still Brady and Mahomes, and it's a marquee matchup in Prime Time where they both can shine.

The Bucs are 9-1 straight up in non-conference games over the last three years, and even though they came away with just 285 yards of total offense last week, they're still 2-1 and should have a better flow with Mike Evans back after dealing with a depleted receiving core last week, on top of his suspension.

Last year, the Buccaneers averaged 30.1 points per game, second in the NFL. This year though, the Bucs have plummeted outside the top 20 in scoring coming in just over 17 a game. It's been a lot more of a regular issue in Tampa than it is for Kansas City.

Through three weeks, Tampa has scored just 51 points, while the Chiefs scored 44 in Week 1 alone, so the more likely breakout offense is Kansas City, especially given the fact that they're fourth in scoring. That being said though, they're sitting right in the middle of the pack in terms of points allowed, so the Bucs can find a way to take advantage of that.

Look to take advantage of some of the offensive props on the market for these two teams, and expect some better flowing offenses this week. Of course, if that doesn't happen for Tampa, we can probably bet on Brady breaking another tablet or two on the sidelines. If only there was a market for that.
