Brinson: Value on Packers to Win NFC North

Brinson and Mazzola discuss the upcoming NFL season and Wells Fargo Championship

Yesterday, Will Brinson and James Mazzola joined Nick Kostos and Ken Barkley on You Better You Bet to discuss the Packers and upcoming Wells Fargo Championship.

Here are some of the most notable nuggets from the show:

Brinson Sees Value on Packers

There is potentially some value on, I think Green Bay is now -125 to win the NFC North. I understand Aaron Rodgers saying he's never playing for the Packers again, but he's under contract. The Packers are probably going to do what they can to bridge that gap to get him back there. There's plenty of time to change his mind.

It was -250 before. The Packers steamroll that division with Rodgers, so I think there's a little bit of value in taking Green Bay there. This is a case of not a predictive betting market but a reactive betting market. I'd be more interested in chasing the short side of that reaction and looking at Green Bay to possibly win that division.

Golfer Mazzola Likes At The Top

You have to drive it far and be in the top-20 of Driving Distance. When it comes to winning, you need bombers. Obviously at the top of the market we have guys like Bryson, Rahm, JT, Rory, Hovland.

In the end, when we are looking at a bomber golf course and a difficult golf course, we have to look no further than a Bryson DeChambeau. He's sitting at anywhere from 12 to 13-1. Probably should be the favorite here considering the setup.

The longest on TOUR, has a distinctive advantage on the course where a lot of guys are just going to miss fairways. You don't necessarily need to hit it straight to be successful. He's the best player out of the rough. I'd make him a favorite here.

Favorite Head-to-Head Bet

Will Zalatoris over Webb Simpson. He's currently a dog to Webb, and I make it more to a coin flip, so that's definitely my favorite head-to-head.

I like Zalatoris to not only beat Webb, but to win this golf tournament.
