Miami Dolphins vsNew York Jets Prediction
The Miami Dolphins are a solid favorite with a 60% chance to beat the New York Jets. Myles Gaskin is projected for 36 rushing yards and a 28% chance of having at least 1 rushing TD. In the 40% of simulations where New York Jets wins, Sam Darnold averages 1.53 TD passes vs 0.62 interceptions, while in losses he has a ratio of 1.13 TDs to 1.14 interceptions. Frank Gore averages 70 rushing yards and 0.78 rushing TDs when New York Jets wins and 41 yards and 0.37 TDs in losses. The Miami Dolphins has a 47% chance of forcing more turnovers than they commit. Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets Prediction
The Miami Dolphins missed a golden opportunity to extend their winning streak to six games against the 3-6 Broncos, falling 20-13 in disappointing fashion. They’ll look to get back on track against the 0-10 Jets who, although struggling to get a win, have been playing better as of late. The Jets are coming off a 34-28 loss to the Chargers that went down to the final minute. This game will be played on Sunday, November 29th at 1:00 P.M EST. The visiting Dolphins are seven point favorites.
New York Jets Preview
At this point, it’s becoming a legitimate question of whether or not the Jets will win a game this season. After their 34-28 loss to the Chargers, which admittedly was a good effort in the loss, the Jets are now 0-10 on the season, with only six chances left to secure their elusive victory. They’ll get another chance against the Dolphins after losing 24-0 in their first meeting this year.
The Jets are clearly looking towards the future, hoping to secure the #1 draft pick to expectedly take Trevor Lawrence. They’ve been cautious with quarterback Sam Darnold all season, holding him old with a mild shoulder injury, most likely to preserve his trade value and prevent an injury down the stretch. The team has been going with Joe Flacco at quarterback, who is doing just enough to keep games close, but not pull them out. The ultimate quarterback for an organic tank.
The Jets have been improving however, as their last two losses have come by nine points combined. In their last meeting against the Dolphins, Joe Flacco was harassed and held to only 186 yards passing. Expect the Dolphins defense to throw similar looks at Flacco to keep him off balance, as they’re going to be coming into this game with a chip on their shoulder after their loss.
For the Jets, it’s looking more likely than not that they’ll go winless. Their next five games come against teams with winning records, and their finale against the Patriots may be their only realistic chance for a win th
Miami Dolphins Preview
The Miami Dolphins did not expect to lose their last game to the Denver Broncos, but a 20-13 loss was just what happened. Coming into the game, they were favorites to win their sixth straight game, and improve to 7-3. A playoff berth was well within reach, and with games against the Jets and Bengals coming up, the Dolphins could realistically have been 9-3 entering their showdown with the Chiefs.
After their clunker, that will not happen. Coach Brian Flores benched Tua Tagovailoa as the Broncos defense was confusing the young quarterback, and chasing him in the backfield almost every play. The offense couldn’t get anything going, as they totalled only 13 points, with their only touchdown coming off a short field after an Xavien Howard interception.
Looking ahead to this week, a date with the Jets is exactly what this team needs. In an ideal world, Tua would be inserted back into the starting lineup and would have the game of his life against this struggling Jets defense. It remains to be seen if that will happen, but coach Brian Flores has already stated that Tua is the starting quarterback going forward. If anything, expect this Dolphins team to come ready to play and get back on track.
Full Game Prediction
The last thing this Dolphins team needs is a loss to the winless Jets, and I trust Dolphins coach Brian Flores to have his team ready for this game. The Dolphins, sans their game last week, have been on a roll, looking every bit like a playoff contender in the stacked AFC Conference. Expect them to come out rolling in this game to get back on track, and for the Jets to fall again, this time to 0-11 on the season.
