Matt Ryan (QB)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 8:51 PM
The veteran signal-caller had a bit of a rollercoaster performance, but Ryan ultimately came through when it mattered most by leading a game-winning nine-play, 57-yard drive that culminated in a Younghoe Koo 36-yard field goal. Ryan's fumble at his own 35-yard line with 6:30 remaining and the Falcons hanging on to a six-point lead could have easily made him the goat after that turnover led to a Dolphins touchdown, but he ensured that wasn't the case with two big completions to Kyle Pitts totaling 51 yards to kick off the final possession. Ryan also threw multiple touchdowns for the fifth straight contest and hit the 300-yard threshold for the second time on the campaign, making it an all-around fantasy-friendly effort. With the offense now back to full health and seemingly grasping coach Arthur Smith's scheme better by the week, Ryan will look to keep carrying the momentum over into a Week 8 home battle versus the Panthers.

Mike Davis (RB)
Latest News
Updated Last Monday at 1:00 AM
Per Mike Clay of ESPN.com, Davis played on approximately 60.0 percent of the Falcons' snaps yet had just the four touches, while backfield mate Cordarrelle Patterson recorded 14 rush attempts and saw five targets. Davis had carried at least 12 times in four of Atlanta's first five games and has seen double-digit targets in each so Sunday's downturn can, for now, be classified as an outlier. The veteran back will hope to get back to a much more normal workload against the Panthers at home in Week 8.

Cordarrelle Patterson (RB)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 9:02 PM
Patterson filled his usual all-purpose role with aplomb, even as he had a more muted day than usual through the air. The hybrid asset made up for that by taking 14 carries for the second straight contest and notching a new high-water mark in rushing yards in the process. Patterson also posted his second rushing touchdown of the season by bulldozing his way into the end zone from three yards out early in the fourth quarter, rounding out a strong fantasy tally. The veteran notably outpaced backfield mate Mike Davis by 10 carries, signaling he may have essentially taken over lead-back duties for the time being. Patterson will look to continue producing in a Week 8 divisional home clash against the struggling Panthers.

Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 10:07 PM
Ridley and Matt Ryan couldn't link up consistently, but the veteran wideout, coming off a one-game absence for personal reasons, was able to salvage his fantasy day to an extent with a five-yard scoring grab in the second quarter. Ridley's target total was his fourth straight of the double-digit variety, further cementing him as a rock-solid fantasy options, particularly in PPR formats, on a week-to-week basis. Ridley will look to up his efficiency in a Week 8 divisional home matchup against the reeling Panthers.

Latest News
Updated Last Monday at 8:40 PM
Zaccheaus reverted back to his reserve role with Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage active for Week 7. The 24-year-old wideout played 12 offensive snaps and finished sixth on the team in receiving. Atlanta's offense has started to pick up steam, scoring 30, 27 and 30 points in their last three contests, so if they are able to continue to put points on the board and move the ball, then more looks may start to come the receivers way. But until that happens, Zaccheaus likely won't be a viable fantasy option in standard leagues.

Latest News

Sharpe played the third most snaps (12) of any Falcons wideout, but he finished fifth on the team in receiving yards, as Atlanta continues to rely heavily on their tight ends and running backs in the passing game. Atlanta's offense has scored 30, 27 and 30 points in their last three contests, and if they can continue to score at a high clip and move the ball, then more passes might get disbursed to the receivers.

Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 8:36 PM
Two weeks after lighting up the Jets for a 9-119-1 line in London, Pitts comfortably exceeded the yardage mark comfortably Sunday to quickly establish a new career high. The rookie dominated the Dolphins physically all afternoon long, with his big day a product of consistent chunk gains as opposed to being boosted by one particularly splash play. Given his production the last two contests and clear grasp of head coach Arthur Smith's offense, Pitts is naturally a must-start option against the reeling Panthers in Week 8.

Daniel Jones (QB)
Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 11:24 PM
Jones was coming off of a disastrous four-turnover performance in Week 6, but he took care of the ball and led the Giants to victory Sunday. However, that still didn't lead to tremendous fantasy production, as he managed only 6.2 yards per attempt. In addition to limited yardage, Jones has only thrown for multiple touchdowns in a game only once this season. Jones continued to add some upside to his statline with production on the ground, topping 25 rushing yards for the fourth time this season. He could be in a friendly game environment in Week 8 against the Chiefs.

Saquon Barkley (RB)

Latest News
Updated Last Sunday at 1:24 PM
Based on Rapoport's report, Barkley looks to be somewhere between "doubtful" and "questionable" for Week 8, with his status for that contest likely to hinge on whether or not his sprained left ankle hinders him in practices next Thursday through Saturday. At this stage, a Week 9 game against Las Vegas on Nov. 7 looks to be a likelier target return date for Barkley. Devontae Booker should fill a three-down role out of the New York backfield for as long as Barkley is sidelined.

Devontae Booker (RB)
Latest News
Updated Last Monday at 12:02 AM
Booker got another chance to serve as the team's lead back with Saquon Barkley (ankle) still sidelined. He out-carried Elijah Penny 14-9 and also had three targets as opposed to Penny's zero. Booker found the end zone for the third time this season, icing the game late in the fourth quarter with a 19-yard rush. In the three weeks Barkley has missed -- including the game he exited early -- Booker has earned at least 15 touches and racked up over 50 yards. There's a possibility that Barkley returns in Week 8, but Booker figures to benefit from his absence should Barkley remain sidelined.

Darius Slayton (WR)
Latest News
Updated Last Monday at 12:31 AM
Slayton led the team in both targets and receiving yards in the absence of Kadarius Toney (ankle), Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Kenny Golladay (knee). Given the game script, the Giants didn't need to push the ball much through the air, which in turn limited the potential for him to turn in a big game. Nevertheless, he recorded four receptions of 15 or more yards to serve as the team's primary threat down the field. Slayton's potential to produce moving forward likely depends on the rest of the Giants' receiving corps heading into a Week 8 matchup against Kansas City.

Shepard's status for Week 7 came down to a pregame workout, which apparently didn't yield the desired result. He'll thus miss his third game of the season, along with fellow inactives Saquon Barkley (ankle), Kenny Golladay (knee) and rookie first-round pick Kadarius Toney (ankle). The Giants' receiving corps Sunday will be composed of WRs Darius Slayton (hamstring), Dante Pettis, John Ross (hamstring), Collin Johnson and David Sills, along with TEs Evan Engram (calf) and Kyle Rudolph.

Rudolph was targeted twice in the contest, while starter Evan Engram was targeted eight times. Rudolph played on only three fewer offensive snaps than Engram, but he is the clear No. 2 in the offense. Rudolph will remain off of the fantasy radar when the Giants take on the Chiefs in Week 8.

Atlanta Falcons vsNew York Giants Prediction

Expect a close game with the Atlanta Falcons winning 45% of simulations, and the New York Giants 55% of simulations. In close games, turnover margin is especially important. The Atlanta Falcons commit fewer turnovers in 28% of simulations and they go on to win 78% when they take care of the ball. The New York Giants wins 69% of the simulations in which they commit fewer turnovers. Matt Ryan is averaging 254 passing yards per sim. If he can have a great game with better than average passing yards and at least a 2 to 1 TD to INT ratio (37% chance) then he helps his team win 57%. Saquon Barkley is averaging 80 rushing yards per sim. If he can have a great game with better than average rushing yards and at least a 1 rushing TD (39% chance) then he helps his team win 77%.
