New York Giants vs Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

The New York Giants are suddenly still alive in the NFC East. Coming off their bye week, they’re winners of two in a row and have a relatively easy schedule going forward. They look to make it three games in a row against the Cincinnati Bengals, who are coming off not only a loss to the Washington Football Team, but the loss of young phenom Joe Burrow to a severe knee injury. This game will be played on Sunday, November 29th at 1:00 P.M EST, and the visiting Giants are 5.5 point favorites.

Cincinnati Bengals Preview

And just like that, the franchise is once again in shambles after Joe Burrow suffered a reportedly severe knee injury against Washington. Burrow not only tore his ACL, but his MCL and suffered additional structural damage. Every NFL fan is hoping for the best because Burrow has looked as good as advertised this season, and the last thing the Bengals need is a lasting injury.

In their 20-9 loss to Washington, the Bengals, to put it nicely, looked terrible. Once Burrow went down, they couldn’t move the ball and were shut out in the 2nd half. Replacement Ryan Finley struggled to get anything going, and he finished the game 3/10 for 30 yards and an interception. Not ideal.

The loss of Burrow essentially has the team looking towards the future, as there will be no competing the rest of the way without their franchise phenom. The issue is clear for the Bengals, and it is their lack of offensive line. It was apparent all season that Burrow would not be successful behind this line, and now it ended his season. The silver lining for Cincinnati is that they should end up with a top-5 pick, and could potentially be in position to draft the best lineman, Penei Sewell. For now, the Bengals hope Burrow recovers successfully.

New York Giants Preview

Giants fans were wondering aloud whether or not Daniel Jones is the man to bring this franchise to success. While not entirely put to rest, the talk of replacements has simmered down a bunch as of late thanks to their two divisional wins over Washington and Philadelphia.

Believe it or not, with a record of 3-7, the Giants are only a half-game out of the NFC East divisional lead. The NFC East, to put it kindly, has been a dumpster fire this season. Each team is struggling to get anything going, and right now, the Giants are the team with momentum. That’s dangerous.

That being said, the sledding will be tough for the Giants. After this game against the Bengals which they should win, New York has to play Seattle, Arizona, Cleveland and Baltimore. Based on what we’ve seen to this point, they’d be lucky to sneak out a win in one of those games. However, even with their schedule like this, it’s entirely possible they will be in contention for the division going into their final game against the Cowboys. Before they can do that, they have to win this game against the Bengals for anything to matter.

Full Game Prediction

Nobody is mistaking the Giants with a good football team, but they’ve been steadily improving this season and are starting to become a confident bunch. Playing against a Bengals team that was already lacking talent before Burrow’s injury should continue the Giants hot play. Expect the Giants to play one of their best games of the season coming off their bye to extend their winnings streak to three games.
