My first thought when looking at this game was, “holy cow… how has Coppin State already played 11 games?” It appears as though their crowded early-season schedule hasn’t paid off, as they’re off to a 1-10 start. On the other hand, Cornell is off to a 6-1 start, and most importantly, have gone 6-0 ATS. They’ve especially been dominant at home, out-scoring their opponents by an average of 11.5 points in early-season play. 

Coppin State has lost 10 consecutive road games straight-up and has scored just 62.6 points while allowing 79.7 in that span. They’ve allowed 76.9 points per game which ranks in the bottom third of the country, a troubling sign against a Cornell offense that averages 86.7 points per game so far. NCAAF: UTSA vs. Western Kentucky, 7:00pm EST

UTSA (11-1) hosts Western Kentucky (8-4) in the Conference USA Championship and there are some pretty serious trends in UTSA’s favor. Under Jeff Traylor, they’ve gone 6-0 ATS against teams that average 250+ passing yards per game and 7-1 SU (+6.9 units) versus teams with a completion percentage of 58% or better. Western Kentucky boasts the nation’s top passing attack in terms of yardage, averaging 424.8 yards per game, and also ranks 7th in completion percentage (69.5%).

As you might imagine, quarterback Baily Zappe has put up incredible numbers. The senior has amassed 4,968 passing yards along with 52 touchdowns to just nine interceptions on the year on 580 attempts.
