This was actually a very close and competitive game at halftime, with WMU actually leading Toledo 15-13. I know, weird score, and it's because WMU's kicker missed back-to-back extra points. Hard to believe, but with these small school kickers, it's really not too uncommon.
Then the third quarter happened, and everything just broke the Rockets way. First it was a 34-yard pass from QB Dequan Finn for a TD to make it 20-15, and Toledo would never surrender the lead after that. They had two more rushing TDs that quarter, scoring on every drive to take a 34-15 lead into the fourth. As you know, that's how the game ended. A very boring fourth quarter, but a satisfying win.
Toledo is now 4-4 straight up and ATS, while WMU is 5-3 but 4-3-1 ATS.
