Auburn Takes Down #17 Arkansas

Bo Nix and company went into Arkansas home turf and smashed the Razorbacks 38-23. Maybe I shouldn't say smashed, as the game was actually pretty close a majority of the time, but in the end it was all Tigers. Unfortunately for Arkansas, this recent bout of futility has likely cost them their season. With three losses, it's over and out for those warthogs. They will likely tumble in the rankings next week after losing to unranked Auburn, but I think was all kind of saw this loss coming. The Razorbacks had looked very vulnerable both offensively and defensively over the past two outings, getting shutout to Georgia in one game, and losing a 52-51 shootout with Ole Miss in the next one. The only thing I'm sure about Arkansas is that they are out of the hunt.

Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson has done pretty much everything he can to will this team to victory, but it just hasn't been a successful effort. He passed for 228 yards and 2 TDs, while also being the team's leading rusher with 18 carries for 66 yards. When your QB is also your leading rusher, that sometimes is a big problem. WR Treylon Burks was fantastic for the Razorbacks with 9 catches for 109 yards and both TDs through the air. It just wasn't enough to stop Auburn.

Nix played phenomenal once again, with 292 yards and 2 TDs. Tank Bigsby and his incredible name had 18 carries for 68 yards and a TD, while WR Demetris Robertson had a big day with 2 catches for 81 yards and a TD. Auburn moves to 5-2, and could be ranked next week.
