QB Bryce Young, Alabama (+250 Consensus)

What else is there to say about Bryce Young? He won the Heisman Trophy this past year, and he obviously would be the favorite coming into 2022 since he was not eligible to go into the NFL Draft. He's a star in every sense of the word, making plays left and right with his arm and his legs, and he did a remarkable job in the Alabama offense in 2021. This will most likely be his final year in college, and you had better believe that he wants to go out with a National Championship under his belt. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a second Heisman Trophy either leading the Crimson Tide to the promised land.

These odds imply that he is a heavy favorite to win the award, and really, there isn't much value in betting this number. It is very hard to be a repeat winner of the Heisman, and despite being the best player in the country last year, I have my reservations about a repeat performance.

I'd stay away from any futures that have this low of a payout. Too many unknowns go along with a futures bet to only get +250.

QB C.J. Stroud, Ohio State (+350)

This one should also be a no-brainer. Stroud orchestrated the most prolific offense in the country last season with Ohio State, putting up monster numbers and being a Heisman finalist in 2021. Next year should be no different, and in fact, will probably be better than it was this past season. Wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba and running back TreVeyon Henderson will complement the star QB, forming the most lethal trifecta in all of college football. The offensive line is also one of the best in the country, posting one of the lowest pressure-to-sack rates in the country.

Again, these odds are just so low that it is hard to recommend a bet on Stroud. While he does have a very good chance to win the Heisman, there are too many factors at play in a future bet that is this far out to have only +350 odds. I'd wait a bit to see if you can possibly get a better number on Stroud. Perhaps he has a dud in the opener against a very good Notre Dame team?

QB J.T. Daniels, Transfer (+2000)

Wow, that was a massive increase in odds wasn't it? That just tells you how likely the sportsbooks think that either Young or Stroud bring home this award in 2022. However, the first player that offers us a little bit of value on their odds is Daniels, who was benched in the middle of the season last year for the Bulldogs when he got injured. Redshirt Senior Stetson Bennett took his place, and the rest was history, as Georgia went on to win the National Championship.

We know that Daniels is a talented QB and if he ends up in the right system, he could be worth a speculative bet with these odds.
