Fresno State vs. San Jose State

Fresno State will take on San Jose State on Thanksgiving Day and we should all be thankful to have football on Thanksgiving. In fact, you probably would much rather watch this game over the garbage NFL game between my Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions. Fresno State is a -7.5 favorite on the spread vs. San Jose State and the total for this game is sitting at 52.5.

The BetQL model has a ⭐⭐⭐ bet on the over first-half total of this game, 26.5, projecting a total of 28.5 points.

Fresno State can take the MWC West division with a win and a San Diego State loss to Boise State on Friday. Boise State destroyed them earlier this season, but they have been great against just about everyone else this season.

QB Jake Haener and the offense has been great since their struggle against Wyoming, and the San Jose State defense has been pretty awful recently. They can't get off the field, and have been allowing long touchdown drives to opposing teams.

The San Jose State offense has been turning the ball over too much, and Fresno State is top-10 in takeaways this season. However, San Jose State absolutely needs this game to make a bowl game, so they will be playing with everything they have.

#8 Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State

No. 8-ranked Ole Miss will travel to take on Mississippi State in the nightcap of the Thanksgiving games on Thursday, and it is sure to be an entertaining Egg Bowl. Mississippi State is a -1.5 favorite at home over the Rebels and the total for this game is sitting at 62, which is a very high total, but warranted for these two offenses.

The BetQL model has a ⭐⭐ bet on the over in this game, as we are projecting the total at 63.5 points. The model is smart to take the over, because if you want to see points being scored, this is your game. Offense will be aplenty here, and I could see these two teams both getting into the 40s on Thursday, going up and down the field.

Mississippi State has been fantastic over its last few games, but they haven't played a team quite like Ole Miss on offense. Auburn almost got 500 yards on them, Arkansas almost 400 yards. They got destroyed by Alabama in October, and now they will face a team that easily could put up the most yards of any of those teams.

We also have an awesome ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ trend on this game, in Ole Miss' favor. Head coach Lane Kiffin is 13-2 SU after having won six or seven out of the last eight games over his career. Ole Miss has won six of its last seven games since getting ripped by Alabama.

However, the points haven't been coming in bunches like they did earlier in the season. The Rebels have had many injuries to deal with, and now they will face a very good passing attack of Mississippi State. QB Will Rogers has been absolutely red-hot. He's completing close to 80 percent of his passes and has 20 TDs over his last five games. That is better than both Heisman favorites C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young. Ole Miss is allowing over 200 yards through the air per game, and I could see both of these teams lighting it up Thursday.
