The Volunteers (16-13, 8-8 in conference), have found themselves from one of the top seeds in the NCAA Tournament last year, to likely missing The Dance this year. They’ve lost two of three, but bounced back in their most recent outing at home against the Florida Gators 63-58 on Saturday, pushing on the five point spread. However, the Volunteers have not won against the spread in their last four games, going 0-3-1 with their last ATS victory coming on June 15th in a 61-63 road loss at South Carolina. On the season, the Vols are 13-16 ATS, covering 44.8% of the time. They’re also dead even on their Over/Under record this year at 14-14. As a road underdog, Tennessee is just 2-6 and 4-4 ATS. They have, however, hit the over in six of their eight games as road dogs.
Meanwhile, the #6 Wildcats (24-5, 14-2 in conference), are red hot and winners of eight straight games. Their last loss was all the way back on February 1st on the road at Auburn 66-75. Since that defeat, UK has gone undefeated straight up and 6-2 against the spread, including their last four games. On the year, Kentucky is 16-13 ATS, covering 55.2% of their games. They’re also close to even in their Over/Under record: 14-15 with an Over% of 48.3%. As a home favorite this year, the Wildcats are 16-1 straight up, but only an ATS record of 8-9 and an O/U record of 7-10. They’ve also hit the under in their last three games at Rupp Arena.
