Preview: Harvard vs. Princeton

This Ivy League matchup should be a fun game to bet on

  • Five games removed from a one-point road loss, the Harvard Crimson will look to split their season series against the Princeton Tigers at Lavietes Pavilion Friday evening. 

  • The Tigers are currently tied with Yale for first amongst the Ivy League standings, with the Crimson just a game out.

PRINCETON

The Tigers (11-10, 6-2 in conference), have turned their season around since conference play began. They lost their first five games of the year and at one point were 3-8 heading towards the new year and conference play. The Tigers are fresh off a home win Saturday vs Brown winning by 19 to improve to four games over .500 in conference play. Against the spread, Princeton has gone 11-9 this season with a 9-11 over/under record. On the road, they’ve gone both 4-5 straight up as well as ATS, but have hit the over in six of their nine total games. In their first matchup against Harvard this season, the Tigers just covered the +1.5, winning 70-69 at home.

HARVARD 

Meanwhile, the Crimson (16-7, 15-3 in conference), are coming off back to back wins at home against Cornell and Columbia and get another set of back-to-back games this weekend with Princeton, and then again on Saturday against Penn. On the year, Harvard has struggled ATS with a record of 9-13, covering just 40.9% of the time. Where betters have done well with the Crimson is on the over, which has hit 66.7% of the time with a record of 14-7. At home, the Crimson have gone 8-1 with an ATS and over/under record of 5-4.
