The college basketball season is underway, and we have already gone through some early tournaments to gauge how teams are this season and what they might become.

From this, we might be able to pick a long shot to possibly make a run in the 2023 NCAA Tournament that will be coming up in March. One of the most important things to look at for these teams is how many players they have returning to the court, and if they were successful last season with even more growth on the way. There is one team that I have really thought highly of as a potential sleeper this season, and they are sitting right now at a whopping +30000 to win the Championship.

First off, this is a team that captured their sixth conference tournament title last season, which punched UAB's ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 16th time in program history. Almost everyone is back in 2022 to make another run, at it as a more polished and veteran team.

Their best player, the reigning Conference USA Player of the Year, and C-USA Tournament MVP Jordan Walker is back. Walker ranked third nationally in total 3-pointers made, 14th in total points scored, 16th in points per game, and 28th in free-throw percentage during his insane 2021 campaign. This season, he could be even better. So far, he's averaging 23.3 points per game and also dishing out 4 assists per contest, while also shooting 41.7% from deep. He will join teammates Trey Jemison, Tavin Lovan, and KJ Buffen as four key contributors to return to for their extra year of eligibility.

This is a dangerous team that can get very hot if they get into the tournament again, which they should. At +6000 to make the Final Four, I'll take a shot with the Blazers.
