Dan Karpuc: Central Arkansas +14 at Loyola-Chicago

Sorry to Sister Jean, but Loyola-Chicago is off to a terrible start to the new season. Sporting a 2-4 overall record, they’ve gone 0-6 ATS. Meanwhile, Central Arkansas has gone 4-3 SU with a 3-3 ATS mark. Most notably, UCA likes to push the pace, as they rank 10th in KenPom’s Adjusted Tempo ranking, compared to Loyola-Chicago’s 283rd ranking. Keep an eye on Central Arkansas sophomore Camren Hunter, who is averaging 16.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game so far. I expect Loyola-Chicago to win this game, but they haven’t covered the spread once in 2022-2023. I don’t have faith in them to do so tonight, especially as a double-digit favorite.

Lucy Burdge: Yale -12.5 vs. Howard

Yale has covered the spread in their last four games and have won three of their last four and I think they can cover this one against Howard here at home. Howard is 4-5 this season, while Yale is 6-1 and Howard just failed to cover an 8-point spread as the underdog the game before last. And with this home court advantage, I like Yale to get a big win over Howard and cover this spread.

Kate Constable: Yale -12.5 vs. Howard

Yale is coming off of its first loss of the season after getting beat by Colorado on Sunday, so this is a great bounce-back spot for them against a mediocre Howard team. Yale outpaces Howard in nearly every statistical category, but the one that stands out most is the difference in points against for each team. The Bulldogs are only giving up 53 points per game while Howard is surrendering 77. That’s not a great sign for Bison, especially with Yale shooting 50% from the field right now. The Bulldogs are also 5-0 against the spread this season and are outscoring teams by 26 points per game. This is Bulldogs or nothing for me.
