Dan Karpuc: No. 9 Arkansas -14.5 vs. Louisville
As I wrote in today’s NCAAB Playbook, the Kenny Payne era at Louisville (0-3 SU, 0-3 ATS) has gotten off to an unbelievable start: three one-point losses. Seriously. The Cardinals lost that way to Bellarmine (67-66), Wright State (73-72) and Appalachian State (61-60). Ouch. The new head coach is still in search of his first win and it’ll be tough sledding against Arkansas (3-0 SU, 1-1-1 ATS). The Razorbacks have won all of their games by double digits: 76-58 over North Dakota State, 74-48 over Fordham and 71-56 over South Dakota State. Louisville is ranked 123rd in KenPom’s efficiency ratings while Arkansas checks in at 14th (with the fourth-rated Adjusted Defense) and I think the Razorbacks absolutely dominate this matchup in Maui.

Brad Pinkerton: Ohio State +5.5 vs. No. 17 San Diego State

No offense to San Diego State, but this is too many points to be giving a power conference team against the Aztecs. Neither team has been strong against the spread early in the season, so I have to lean toward the team getting the points here, and that just so happens to be an Ohio State program that seems to overachieve early every season. At least Ohio State has been blowing out its opponents; the Buckeyes just haven't been able to cover huge spreads. Perhaps being the underdog will help them cover in Maui. Lucy Burdge: Rice -13 vs. Houston Baptist
Rice has covered their last two spreads, both as the favorite, while Houston Baptist failed to cover their last spread as the four-point underdog in an 84-77 loss to Georgia Southern -- whom the Owls beat by 17 on Friday. With the momentum for Rice coming into this game and the loss Houston Baptist just endured, I like Rice to cover this double-digit spread here.
