Notre Dame ranks 16th out of 363 teams in KenPom’s Adjusted Offensive Efficiency rankings, but 137th in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. Meanwhile, Lipscomb ranks 123rd in those same offensive ratings and 284th in those defensive ratings. Therefore, success should be skewed towards the offensive end for both teams. The over has gone undefeated in Notre Dame’s three games so far and both teams have weapons to be aware of. Senior Fighting Irish forward Nate Laszewski is averaging 20.0 points and 10.7 rebounds and has recorded three straight double-doubles to start the new year. Senior guards Trey Wertz (17.7 PPG) and Dane Goodwin (14.0 PPG) will provide Notre Dame with additional scoring options as well. Five Lipscomb players are averaging double-digit points, but they’re led by sophomore forward Jacob Ognacevic, who has put up an insane 18.0 points in just 19.7 minutes per game.
